Happy November!

Isn't that such great news?! I'm glad everyone's who's read it is enjoying it thus far. It really makes me breath a sigh of relief, you know? To know that someone's work is being read and enjoyed is validating as hell.

I know we're not to write for 'everyone else' but it DOES help me, at least, with knowing that what I thought and felt others would enjoy (because I, myself enjoyed writing it and reading it) holds true. I hold onto my intuition and don't let it fade that way. I like to think of myself as someone who knows marketing or at least has a natural feel for it.

I guess we'll see once the first book is out February 26th, won't we?!

Burning Bridges by Nadege Richards: Review

Kill or be killed. Love or let go.

In a world divided between the Hunters and the Warriors, the prisoners who have fallen prey to King Cyrus's decrees are forced into the arena to fight until death. The winner is granted mercy and the privilege to see another sunrise–for the loser, it’s death unto the weak.

Seventeen year-old Princess Echo races towards freedom to find out who she really is, and to put a world that has been swallowed by lies back together again.

And then there’s Ayden. His very existence as a Hunter is forbidden, and with his otherworldly, violet eyes Echo is finding it hard to stay away from him. When death threatens their forbidden love Echo and Ayden are forced to do the unthinkable–how far will they go to be together?

Reading/Writing Horror Erotica?

I just read something from an awesome author friend of mine David Owain Hughes - a new submission for Burning Willow Press, and the five chapters I read have sent me into a tailspin of, yes, pleasure. The pleasure of 'witnessing' horrid acts, but being in the MC's shoes - feeling his pleasure with him as he commits them, well if you're into BDSM that is, and understanding his pleasure.

For the Love of…

If one day, perhaps, I'm walking down the street and just one person comes up to me, book in hand, eager for a signature, or to pick my brain about the story, I will know I have made it in my career. Aside from the conventions, the bookstore book signings, the (hopeful) cosplays of characters in my books, I will know I've made a difference by being myself, doing what I've always felt is best, and doing the hard work I know is necessary to reach all of my goals.
