Fantasy and Archives (& Pics of My Cat!)
Y’all know I love me some fantasy. So when a lovely agent wrote an amazing rejection for me a few months ago, urging me to rewrite Sinner Sharpe or submit something new, I took the chance to write something new.
It’s no secret I’ve been working on THE BLOODY EMPIRE off and on and have really enjoyed the strides I’m taking to really make this novel make sense in both an editing sense (ie, marketing), and a plot and character sense (since my characters are so real to people).

Archives…and The Cat
If you didn’t hear, I recently started a new job as an Archivist and I couldn’t be more excited.
Though the hours are long and I’m no longer remote, the job is extremely rewarding and I’m excited to advance my career.
This change, of course, has stunted my writing plans and my streaming plans. When I get home I barely have time to cook and eat, shower and play with Jasper (did I mention I have a cat?) before I have to head to bed.
My weekends are more or less full up as well as I’ve been spending time with my boyfriend so this leaves little time for writing, but we push on, as we do. 🙂
What I’m Reading:
THE EMPIRE’S RUIN is a fun, dense epic dark fantasy with characters that bleed through the page. I’m enjoying it so far.
I’m off to continue sorting old papers into acid-free folders!
