‘Dracula’ is Live – The End of The Dark World series Is Here

It's been a wild ride since the start of The Dark World series with Book 1 back in 2013/2014.

Naturally, a lot has changed since the first book (just read through the blog to see how much), and although this journey has been beset with trials, drawbacks, and more, I'm proud to say the series is finally finished. I feel free. Elated.

Ready to move forward.

Which, if you've been reading recent posts, I have been.

I'm so glad to fully focus on Sinner Sharpe: The Tales of Dark Waters now while a new group of readers discover The Dark World and sink their teeth into the series.

About the Genre:

I don't think I've ever made it clear what the genre is in the Dark World and as such that's led to fewer sales (I believe) than there could have been so with that said, here's where the Dark World series falls:

Epic Dark Fantasy

Epic - It's a large scope of a series with traveling across and atop mountains, through Mermaid-infested lakes, flying atop Dragons...etc. There are days and days of travel to get to where these Creatures are going.

Dark - There are horrific moments interspersed throughout the series, and the main characters we follow are an assortment of historical monsters we've grown to fear in film and television: vampires and werewolves.

Fantasy - Goes without saying. There's magic, swords, crossbows, arrows, politics, Dragons, Giants, Elves, Merpeople, Gnomes, Satyrs, Witches, and Wizards...etc.

Read Before You Buy:

As said on Twitter recently, all of The Dark World series are now available to be read (1 to 3 chapters, relatively) right here on this website. Just go to the Dark World's page and click the books you want to read before you buy.

More about Dracula:

And finally, a bit about the final book in the series: DRACULA.

A lot of people have asked me if the title was chosen on purpose in order to get readers, or if this was a retelling of Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Naturally, it's neither. And I'm glad the book is finally out so everyone can see for themselves.

The words "The Dark World Book VI" are beneath the title so it's clear that this is, in fact, the sixth book in a series.

This book took, on-and-off, about four years to write as life seriously got in the way of writing (and I discovered I flourish under deadlines, which I did not have for DRACULA).

I've grown immeasurably since THE GOBLET and I believe that reflects in DRACULA. The characters, as they should in any series, have grown, face new challenges/decisions, and are stepping into their power. The truth of the Vampires and their own special abilities comes to light and this may just be the thing they need to stop the Phoenixes' magical fyre from destroying them for good.

But, of course, there is always someone else, unfortunately, that wants power for themselves...

DRACULA is out now on Amazon in paperback.

(I'm sure more avenues to purchase from will open up soon in the coming days. I'll edit this blog post as that happens.)

Thank you, always, for your support if you've purchased, gifted, or read my books in any capacity over the years.

With Blood and Love,

Quick Update! Writing Up A Storm And Creating New Content
This will be super short as my lengthier posts are now on my patreon, but I just wanted to say that I am still writing if you’re not keeping up with me on Twitter, and I’m writing quite a bit.I’m currently working on DRACULA: Book 6 of The Dark World series and as of this […]
Feature: Author Georgina Kiersten’s Blog – “15 Books By Black Authors You Should Read This Halloween”

The email was all about her latest blog post where she showcased 15 books by black authors readers should read for Halloween.

I scrolled through it, admittedly hoping my name would be on there — and it was!

This Short Story Has Gripped Me (Here’s a Sneak Peek!)

I just as in JUST NOW started writing the short story THE UNWANTED GUEST, this is that haunted house short story I said I was gonna write like a year ago. I’m finally get around to it. Before this, though, there were three other fairly short in both length and depth stories that I wrote for the month of October to get new readers.

But this one, the haunted house one, it’s different from the jump.

Saying “No” or Why I Want to Write Consistently

I want to create, I want to write, I want to see the difference my words are making either on the page or on the screen. Social media algorithms are all well and good but there is nothing for me like knowing my words have impacted someone, either through my creative works or through the company I’m writing for.

Books and Tea: Meet the Members | S.C. Parris – Northern Plunder

I got to be apart of a cool introductory post feature on an awesome person's (Lauren) blog. It's for her online book club: Books and Tea through Discord.

Excitement in an Old WiP & Black Faces in Fantasy Literature

But upon coming back to it the other day I did, I remember reading over my work and thinking, "Why isn't she [the MC with all the knowledge and power], black?" There was no reason she couldn't be after all, and I'd been inspired by all of the covers with black protagonists I'd seen in the fantasy section of Barnes and Noble, understanding an apt confusion for readers when they would see my DARK WORLD series and not see any black characters on the covers, though there are black characters in the world.

Writing Amidst Doubt

Like any writer, I face doubt. Not often, as I choose to focus on my work and what I'm doing and contributing to literature (not much lol), but as of late, the doubt has crept in and is, for the moment at least, here to stay.
